"And then there's the personal question so many of Lassie's fans want to ask: Is he allowed on the furniture? Of course he is — but, then, he's the one who paid for it." ~ Julia Glass

Cyndy and friend

Cyndy and her Michael

If you recognize Cyndy and me in these photos you may have noticed I'm usually close around Cyndy while she plays with other dogs at the park. We do not allow her to play rough, she is not allowed to nip, growl or otherwise play in a manner that may cause other owners to be concerned. We have been told many times by other dog owners, "It's okay, my dog plays that way too", while we truly appreciate others feedback on the behavior of their dogs, having a bull breed mix comes with some cautions. Cyndy has never exhibited aggressive behavior but she will defend herself when an aggressive dog fights with her over it's ball, stick etc. You may have also noticed when she does play too rough for the particular dog or dogs she's with I will stop the play, leash her and she is put on a doggy "time out". I have spoken with the behavior specialist at the Marin Humane Society and this seems to be the best way to teach or train her we will not tolerate this behavior. Cyndy is just one really great dog and we are joyful that she has decided to live with us.

Oliver can't get enough park time
I'm Oliver, a three-year old Jack Russell, and I love to chase balls at the Mill Valley Dog Park.

"Our dogs, like our shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well."  ~ Bonnie Wilcox, Old Dogs, Old Friends

I'm Rokko, a 4-month old Boston Terrier puppy, and this is my first time at the park!  I'm gonna have fun here!

Bear Lee

Jerry and Wendy's Bear Lee is a happy regular at the park.  She's a six-year old Aussie mix rescue who loves to herd, and there are usually herdees at the park. She can run and play for hours because she can cool her belly in the bay.

"He listens to his trainer real good. He just doesn't listen to me. I still can't get him to do nothing." ~ Evander Holyfield, on his Akita, who had completed obedience training with a professional trainer
